A rating is your one active half-star score for an album. A Take is the written opinion you add when the score needs context. Editing a Take keeps its revision history.

Scores explained
User Score is the average from Aux'd listeners. Critic Score and Aux'd Score remain unavailable until real, attributable critic data exists.
Building your profile
Ratings, Takes, lists, genres, decades, and countries gradually turn an empty profile into a visible record of your taste.
Lists
Lists are personal crates of albums. Make one public when it says something worth sharing, or private when it is just for you.
Following people
Following shapes your feed around people whose taste you trust. Until then, Aux'd shows useful activity from the wider community.
Privacy
Profiles, public lists, ratings, and Takes are visible. Private lists and private memories remain visible only to their owner.
Future listening connections
Streaming stays separate
Spotify and other listening services may later connect for imports or outbound links. They will never replace Supabase Auth or become the owner of your Aux'd identity.
